In⁤ this guide, we will highlight the top 5 best exercise bikes in 2024⁣ to help you make an⁤ informed‍ decision.

Which Exercise Bikes Should You Buy?

When choosing an exercise bike, there are several factors to consider to determine which one is right for you.

First, consider what type of exercise bike you prefer. There are three main types: upright bikes, recumbent bikes, and indoor cycling bikes. Upright bikes resemble traditional bicycles and require the rider to sit upright while pedaling. Recumbent bikes have a more laid-back seating position with a backrest for added comfort. Indoor cycling bikes, also known as spin bikes, are designed to closely mimic the experience of outdoor cycling with adjustable resistance levels.

Next, think about the features you want in an exercise bike. Some bikes come with built-in workout programs, heart rate monitors, and adjustable seat and handlebar positions. Others may have Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to sync your workouts with fitness apps or track your progress over time.

Consider your budget as well. Exercise bikes can range in price from a few hundred dollars to several thousand, depending on the brand, features, and quality. It’s important to find a balance between cost and quality that fits within your budget.

By carefully considering these factors, you can find the exercise bike that best meets your needs and helps you achieve your fitness goals.

Well designed and adjustable. It is really well-made. I did have to hire someone to put it together, but that’s mostly because I’m 78 and have arthritis. There are instructions if you have the patience. It’s comfortable and the seat is adjustable. I found the screen a little hard to read because it’s dark gray on light gray And again I’m 78. It’s quite heavy so it stays in place well and it’s quiet so I can read or play a game on my tablet to make the time go a little faster or even watch TV. The resistance is also very adjustable so it’s great for the beginner or someone who is already in better shape and just wants to stay that way And that’s a feature that I was really looking for.
Great Bike. Absolutely amazing Schwinn product. I love this recumbent bike and use it nearly every day.
Great bike, would be 5 stars if not for 2 things. Purchased this bike 2 months ago and I use it 5-6 days a week. It’s a great home workout. It is not gym quality but it is definitely higher tier home gym quality. I looked at a lot of bikes and read all of the reviews. Overall I’m very pleased with the purchase and I think the quality is great for the price.Pros: easy assembly, easy to operate, provides a great workout, no issues with seat adjustment or fit for either my wife or myself. Very smooth operation and super quietCons: there are only 2 cons and these are minor but I felt it made it a 4 star vs a 5 star. And Schwinn could easily fix these issues. First, the display is not back lit. I knew this from previous reviews so it was not a surprise. I always have my phone so no biggie to see the screen and if your work out area is well lit then seeing the screen is not an issue. My workout area is not well lit. The second thing and I did not see this in any reviews: the power cord plugs into the front of the bike. My bike face the middle of the room with the seat to the wall. Someone could very easily walk by and accidentally hit it with their foot and break it. Would recommend Schwinn make it so the power cord in in the back.Although it has Bluetooth, you need compatible apps to use it to check pulse. I didn’t care about this but someone might.I would buy this bike again.
Very comfortable and easy to use. Worth the money
Great Value. All items assembled as designed and functioned properly. Great value for all included.
It'd probably be nifty, if only it would RUN. Another amendment to my initial review... In addition to not being able to run jrny (unless I buy another tablet) now I realize I can't connect the bluetooth without zwift, which I have to pay for monthly. In other words, I should have purchased a mickeymouse $150 bike because ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES THAT REALLY APPEALED IN THE HYPE DO NOT WORK UNLESS I PAY FOR THEM EVERY MONTH. I wouldn't mind paying a monthly charge if I could use jrny, which was one of the main reasons I bought this piece of crap, but I don't have the right tablet and I'll be cotton-picked if I'm going to buy anything else, given that buying this stupid bike in the first place just about broke the bank. Boy, these guys sure saw me comin'...Amending my initial review yet again: OK, part of the aggravation with this bike is on me, I will admit. I am NOT a particularly tech-savvy person. If you're interested in this bike, be sure you read every bit of fine print and go over it with someone who understands the technology bits. I selected this bike because of the JRNY software, I was excited about the video capabilities, riding with other bikers or traveling through all kinds of places. What I did not realize is that the software is not compatible with anything I already own... not with Windows, not with my Kindle. So the only screen I can use is my smart phone. Teeny-tiny screen... so I can ride through lots of places, but the video is so small I can't pick up much of any detail. Bummer. I could buy another tablet to use, but I already spent what is, to me, a TON of money. So I guess I'll just ride the old boring way... which I could have done for much less money had I understood the connectivity -- or lack thereof. What a waste of money.Amending my review, dropping two stars to one star. The bike has been sitting useless for almost two weeks waiting for a service tech. Never worked. Today I had an email from tech, they state they will have a tech here in almost TWO WEEKS MORE. Four weeks this thing is sitting here like a lump. Meanwhile my insurance won't pay for more P.T. so I'm getting no therapy... THAT'S WHY WE BOUGHT THE STUPID BIKE!Schwinn, or whoever you are, you should be embarrassed.Bike arrived, my husband set it up. Setup is challenging, but if you go step by step using the manual it can be done. Unfortunately, once done there is no power to the unit. So we called the manufacturer, they made a couple of suggestions -- still nuthin'. They were going to send out replacement cables RIGHT AWAY, they arrived about a week later. Slow boat from China? Also were given contact info for a technician. If the cables worked we were to contact the tech and tell him not to come, if they didn't work we should wait to hear from the tech to schedule an on-site visit. Still haven't heard a peep. All things considered, this bike is probably the most expensive PAPER WEIGHT I've ever purchased. Shame on you, Nautilus/Schwinn!
Good Recument Bicycle. Works great, easy to adjust for leg length. Tension setting is good. It feels sturdy.
Schwinn Recumbent Exercise Bike. I purchased the Recumbant bike as Schwinn is a long-standing brand in fitness. I was looking for a long lasting product which would not break the bank but hold up over the years. The value is good and bike took about an hour to assemble with many small pieces. Comes with pictured detailed assembly and instructions. The unit itself is size able not a compact unit. While pedaling on high resistance training mode it is very quiet but on low tension I can hear part of machine inside shake. The workout quality is very good for price-point and is for home use only. This is not gym quality equipment nor does price reflect. The seat provides ample space for bigger bodies but it is not cushioned nor feel comfortable for long sessions but is molded for contours of the anatomy. The bike offers a simple, clear monitor screen for manual, interval & challenging modes with a 12, 24, 30 & longer minute workout. Tension & resistance is excellent and does make for an effective cardio session. The weight of bike is good and you can move it around on its wheel base if needed. All in all a good piece of equipment for the home base workout that will be within a families budget. The seat is adjustable back & forth only not in the up and down and sits on a slight incline. I find myself pushing back in the seat often to accommodate and correct that after adjusting the appropriate leg length.
Llego a tiempo, fácil de armar y con todo lo necesario para un bien ejercicio!!
Been using this bike for years. Got this recumbent bike initially because of rheumatoid arthritis - would recommend for anyone who wants exercise but is struggling with limitations related to knees, joints, etc. My illness is under control now and my partner and I still use this bike for exercise on almost a daily basis. Also comes with preinstalled programs so you can allow the bike to push you, instead of you having to push yourself to do a proper workout. Worth the money in my opinion.

My Impressions of the Yosuda Exercise Bike. I received my order of the Yosuda Exercise Bike yesterday afternoon. I want to the Amazon employee for bringing this item and leaving it by the front door. I brought it inside and proceeded to put it together. As I explained in my video, posted earlier, this bike is very easy to put together. You'll want to start with the base pieces. Use the two large screws and place those caps on top. You can use the wrench provided or you can use your own. I found it necessary to turn the bike upside down and then add these pieces. You can do it by yourself but, if you have someone helping out, they can hold the bike steady while you add these parts. It doesn't take long.Next, turn the bike rightside up and begin working on the pedals. You'll need to turn the pedal screw, counter clockwise. If you try to install it clockwise, it's not going to work. Use the L pedal for the left side, and the R pedal for the right side. You can't miss the letters marked on each pedal. Next, it's on to the seat bar. It's easy to install, just remove the knob and slide it in for now. You can adjust it later. Add the seat bar, than the seat itself. Move on to the Handlebar post. Do the same and remove the knob and slide the post in. You'll have to unscrew it completely in order for both posts to go in. Put the knobs back in once they're in position.Add the Handlebar post. You will see two wires at the front of the bike. Make sure that when you screw in the Handlebar post, the wires remain in the very front of the bike. See my video for more clarification. You can add the bike monitor to the top of the Handlebar post. It has a slot, just slide it in. Add the input with the two wires to the hole on the backside of the monitor - this will be the right side. Add the input that connects to the side of the front wheel to the back of the monitor in the hole on the left side. I'm looking at the back of the monitor when I'm making reference to the right or left side. You'll be in front of the bike doing this. It may be a challenge to do it while you're on the bike. That's pretty much it.I like this bike. It's not too heavy. It does have a little bit of weight but you can move it around if necessary. The most noticeable feature is the bike is quiet. I mean, I rode my Schwinn Exercise Bike for years. That product was very noisy. This one, the Yosuda Exercise Bike is so quiet, it may take getting used to. I'm pleased with this bike. I hope it last as many years as my Schwinn Exercise Bike.
Quality Bike at a great price. This is such a great bike and at a great price! It’s extremely sturdy and sounds so quiet you can barely hear it. My husband just had double knee surgery and was recommended to purchase a bike to help therapy along. After looking at many others for wayyyy more money we decided to go with this one and take a chance. Once we purchased it we received 2 days later and put it together very quickly and easily. It came with detailed instructions and they even included extra pieces just in case. It looks great, does the job and not to big to be invasive in a room.So happy with the purchase and would highly recommend it!
Worthwhile purchase; but know that the NOT ALL MODELS ARE MAGNETIC. I purchased this stationary bike about 1 year ago (Classic Model), and it's had reasonable use between my different family members in the interim (few times per week, on average). It has been solid. Good weight to it, so it doesn't feel cheap while you're riding, and it's pretty quiet- not so quiet that I feel like I can ride at night next to my sleeping spouse; but quiet enough that I'm not annoyed by the sound while i'm using it. The tiny wheels in the front support ease of bike movement, though, I generally keep it in one place, so I can't assess how it or the floor holds up being moved around a lot. My biggest issues are fairly minor; the tablet stand feels/is flimsy and to me, feels like the aspect of the bike that received least consideration and/or resources; it feels a bit cheap and can vibrate a bit if you nudge it during a workout; however, it has not dropped my phone or table since purchase, so I can't complain that much about it. I had intended to purchase a magnetic braking system, and thought that I caught it at a really good price; however, I didn't review the details... some of the models (higher end) have a magnetic resistance system; while the less expensive models use "classic" friction. That being said; it still has worked well for me, and still feels like it provides consistent resistance throughout a workout. Some additional minor annoyances include: the heart rate monitor doesn't work well in my household; you have it hold it in just a certain way, then you feel like you're holding your breath while watching the heart symbol flash endlessly, to see if it will report a number; which only happens, at best half of the time; ultimately being more distracting and annoying than helpful. Also, the monitor is not very secure on the bike, so it will vibrate some while you're into your ride. I can't say that I've ever found a stationary bike seat particularly comfortable; but this seat is certainly no less comfortable than others. I'd also mention that bike maintenance (re-tightening bolts,...) has been fairly low so far (maybe every 4-6mo); and mostly related to the seat. The ability to make multiple seat adjustements is a double-edged sword for my household as we have multiple riders of different heights and arm/leg lengths. Would be easier if the adjustments were a little easier to make (dials/knobs) vs. screws/bolts. Overall I do like it and am still happy that I purchased it; though, I do think about whether or not I should have spent the extra $ and gone for the magnetic resistance system.
Excellent Value at a Reasonable Price. I really like this bike. It's sturdy and quiet. I like the fact that I can keep tabs of my progress with the monitor. And for you shorter individuals who don't like bending over to hold onto the handle bars (like me), I actually unscrewed them and placed them in reverse so that I can sit up straight. I consider this bike an excellent value for the price.
Very good for the price. For the price, this thing is great. Is it a peloton or some other expensive brand in quality? No it's not, but it comes pretty damn close, especially for the cost. The noise is minimal, the pedaling is smooth, and it's good for getting a basic workout in.
The quietness of the bike and comfortable seat. It was very easy to assemble and finished putting it together in a matter of minutes. The phone holder keeps my phone snug with no room for movement when using the bike, which is awesome. Two things I noticed after using three times, is that the wheel was squeaking and the other thing is that the seat is very uncomfortable for me. I may have to buy a more comfortable seat to change the one on it.

Price and quality can't be beat. Used for 3 months now. I'm a biker who loves the great outdoors as the only "real" bike riding BUT, I do live in northern Illinois so weather happens here during the winter. Decided it was time to purchase my first stationary bike so as not to go completely dormant for 3 months. Wasn't sure I'd really enjoy it but I'm pleasantly surprised. Price was outstanding, packaging, shipping & delivery was good and assembly was relatively easy. Quality of bike is top notch and I can easily get in a 20 mile "ride" from the comfort of my living room. No real downsides to report. Construction feels solid and easily handles my 220 lbs. Bike is fairly compact and easy to use and move. Noise level during use is almost non-existent. Not using it as much these days since spring has arrived but it's still sitting in my living room and even my wife doesn't really notice it anymore. Not always a big fan of online buying as I like to "touch and feel" what I'm buying, especially with a purchase like this. I would definitely buy again and recommend.
Worth the money to lift my routine again. I been out of my workout routine since my carpal tunnel is in the way. So I got myself this bike that has been nothing but wonderful to me. My husband fixed it up to start using, he says it's not too complicated. It has universal adjustments to fit my needs and the resistance nob to usemy muscles more is outstanding. I keep at it with this bike 5 days a week, an hour a day or more and been feeling so good about how much I burn and that excited feeling I get from doing hard work again. This bike has lifted my spirits again, even after I get my carpal tunnel surgery done I'm still using it on my workout routine and it's been nothing but perfect for me since I bought it. Only needs AAA batteries, the holders attached to it are super helpful.
Solid Machine. Excellent home bike. Shipped in one box, was a little heavy, but manageable. You have to put the bike together your self, took me about 1 hour. All the parts were well protected when I was unpacking. Very easy to use adjustable seat height and forward backward seat adjustment. Comfortable on the knees and seat cushion is great. Feels very sturdy. My only issue is the digital gauge it showed on the pictures is only a timer and not a monitor on distance or speed. Unless you download an app and connect to the battery powered sensor under the bike you can track distance and speed. It was a bit much for me to use the app and just gave up on that. But it’s a great bike to use even if you don’t track speed and distance. Very easy to adjust the resistance of pedaling and a good range. Is pretty quiet, but does start to make a “rubbing” noise on the magnet when I turn the resistance up on the higher level. Over all a good solid simple machine to get started on.
Enjoying This Bike. This is a great stationary bike. It arrived well packaged and in very good condition. All parts were there and the instructions were easy to follow. I set this bike up and was riding in 20 minutes. The construction is solid and you can feel that when riding. I get no movement from the frame or non-moving components when riding. The ride is very solid and smooth. The bike connected easily to my phone and the included timer and tablet holder work very well. I am very pleased with this purchase and look forward to riding it for a long time. I also contacted customer service and Nancy was very responsive and super helpful. Five stars for their customer care!Delivery: My bike arrived in absolutely perfect condition inside and out. I was extremely impressed with how well this bike was packaged and protected. There wasn't one scratch or damaged part/area. My guess is their bike was mishandled in shipping prior to their delivery. Now, on to the review. There is nothing I dislike about this bike. I have owned at least 1/2 dozen stationary bikes and am an avid outdoor biker as well, in spite of my advanced age. I am also an extremely cautious purchaser and did a lot of research on this manufacturer and this specific bike. I found nothing but good reviews on both.Construction: This is an extremely well-constructed bike and without a doubt, the most solid bike I've owned. One of the reason's I purchased this bike was it's slim profile and rider weight capacity. It doesn't disappoint in either area. Because both the seat and handlebars are height adjustable you will get a very slight movement in both. This is not uncommon and in no way detrimental to use and function. The pedals are aluminum and grip well. I removed the foot cages and I don't use them. The seat post is solid and I find the seat reasonably comfortable. I often hate indoor bike seats as they are often too big (and I'm a rather large person). This seat is well padded, comfortable and allows you to pedal without discomfort. The wheels on the front support bar make it very easy to move the bike. This bike is unbelievably quiet.Assembly: Very easy and quick. Took less than 15 minutes to assemble. Assembly tools are included and the few nuts, bolts and screws that are needed are well packaged and identified. The instructions lack any information/directions on the cable coming from the flywheel and going to the monitor. It's somewhat awkward as it stretches on the outside of the bike up to the monitor. We found a simple fix by r
Work out and binge. I've been using this for a couple of months now and I have to say I enjoy using this staionary while i binge watch my shows. Its super sturdy, adjustable to my height and degree of resistance. I can plop my tablet in front of me while I work out. Thanks to the suction cups my tablet stays nice and stable even when i do slme intense pedaling. It doesnt take a lot room. And doesnt weight too much. I can literally pick it up and move it out of the way or infront of my tv.
Good quality, easy to use , reasonable price. I like the quality, easy to use . I love the design , speed is also good .Feel very comfortable. It’s the easiest way to do workout at home , especially in summer season. Most important thing is dealer listing u carefully, I was having the issue with seat because that was small for me , they gave me new one in large size without any charges. Thank-you so much 🙂

Great quality and affordable. Such a great investment! I bought a bike previously from Amazon and it was super flimsy and did not feel like a work out but this bike is very impressive. The resistance goes high, it’s heavy and stable, it’s a good size to even put somewhere in a corner and not take up too much space, and it’s easy to adjust to your needs. I use it 4-5 times a week and love it.
Really great exercise bike at a great price. The media could not be loaded. I have been looking for an exercise bike but didn't want to spend a lot of money. I'm also not big into subscription services like Peloton, so I just wanted a standard bike that worked well and didn't have all the extras to make it cost $500 or more. I found this bike and thought it might fit the bill and I should give it a try.First off, everything was packaged really well and protected, so I wouldn't worry about anything getting damaged during shipping. All the parts were organized and secured in the packing.Once I had everything unboxed, I started assembling the bike. The directions were clear and it only took me 15-20 min to complete. All the parts fit tightly and tools were included to help put the bike together. There was even a small thing of thread adhesive to use when screwing the pedals on to ensure they stay tight over use.The digital monitor that comes with the bike is pretty simple. It tracks time, distance (per ride and an overall odometer), speed, and calories. You can have it scan through each or set it to stay on one. You can also set targets (time, distance, or calorie) and it will count down during your workout. There is not a heart rate monitor, bluetooth, or anything fancy. All the adjustments work the same as any other exercise bike (seat height, seat forward/back, handlebar height, wheel tension), and have a good range to allow the correct settings for a range of heights/preferences. The wheel tension is a felt pad, so it is quiet while riding, and you can adjust it from a very easy ride with no tension, to a high effort workout. I also noticed that there is adjustments available to balance the wheel if needed. Everything was well balanced out of the box for me, but I was glad to see the option in case I need to tweak it over time.I've had the bike for a little over a week and have already put about 100 miles on it according to the odometer. It is more stable and sturdy than I expected for a cheap bike, but is still plenty light and easy to move around (there are wheels on the front that make this super easy). The thing I changed was the toe cages on the pedals. The cages that came with the bike were a bit too narrow for my shoes, but I do have fairly big feet, so I don't think it would be a problem for most people.Overall, I'm really pleased with this exercise bike so far, and am confident it will hold up over time.
Impressive. I needed a bike so that I could ride indoors for the Winter months. I didn't have a big budget and my husband found this spin bike on Amazon. I had a couple of sleepless nights before it arrived wondering how hard the assembly would be. For the record, I'm 72 years old and didn't feel like spending three days putting this bike together even though I am a DIY oriented person. I shouldn't have worried, it was a snap to assemble. The bike was so well packaged and the parts were so organized inside. The flywheel and belt were already assembled, thankfully. It was suggested to watch the YouTube video before assembling and that was a great idea. I probably had it all together in 30 minutes. What I'm most impressed with is the sturdiness and performance. This is not a lightweight piece of equipment. I've used spin bikes at the gym and this unit performs equally as well. A turn of the knob and you can smoothly change the resistance for a harder or easier workout. The LED screen keeps track of the basics of time, distance, etc. I love the tablet holder as I can stream TV while spinning. As for longevity, that remains to be seen but since I'm the only person using the bike it should last for good long time. This product is a great bargain for anyone looking to boost their fitness for not a lot of money. It's a perfect addition to my home gym.Review Update: Fast forward and it has been 3 1/2 months since I bought this bike. It is a gem. I have lost 25 pounds and feel great. I am closing in on 1000 miles and have increased the resistance considerably. I plan on keeping this up until I can take my road bike out in the Spring. The bike is just as sturdy as the day I put it together and it is so quiet I can watch TV while spinning. What a great way to exercise at home in Central New York where the Winter can be long and unforgiving. I'm so glad that I purchased this.
Good, studry, simple stationary bike. The media could not be loaded. This bike took about a week to get to me. Not too bad for a large item!I received the box in good condition and started putting it together. There was a LOT of tape on everything, more than other large put-together-yourself items I've ordered in the past. This was annoying, but im glad it was all protected. The assembly was super simple and took less than 10 minutes to complete.Pre-ride, it is what I expected with any stationary bike. The seat is easily adjustable and sturdy, same with the handlebars. The handlebars have a place for my phone or my tablet, which I REQUIRE when riding so I don't get bored. The adjustable resistance knob is easy to turn and does not adjust itself when hard riding (like others I've bought). There is a water bottle holder in the middle bar and it's easy to get most sized bottles in and out of it, and my legs don't hit the bottle.Riding the bike, it rides smooth with no unnecessary wheel noises and the resistance pad doesn't make a loud "shhhhhhhh" noise when hard riding. The bike is super heavy and very stable, even for a 240 lb, top-heavy guy like me. The LCD screen is very simple and reads time, mileage/km, speed, and possible calorie burn. The timer stops when you stop pedaling, but continues when you start within a certain amount of time. You cannot connect any apps to it. The screen takes 2 AA batteries.Post-ride, it has wheels in the front so you can lift the back and move it to store it very easily. If you need to store it under something, the bars and seat come off super easily for storage. All in all, I wanted a simple stationary bike, and thats what I got! Affordable for something so heavy and sturdy.
Bike is small! I am 1,8 m and the size is small for me. There are not enough bolts - I cannot assemble it due to this. The box is very bad.

BARWING, bar none! You get more than for what you pay for. Excellent bang for the buck. Have been using it for at least 2+ weeks now. The base is sturdy and stable. The seat is somewhat wobbly but it's because of its tilt adjustment nature -- any hinges that allows angle adjustment to the seat will tend to wobble. The wobble isn't that bad, just noticeable. I will point out below the relevance of this seat tilt feature, and why the "wobble" is a fair enough trade off for the "seat tilt" feature. The seat is usable enough for a 20-30 minute duration. Then the cushion becomes noticeably uncomfortable. But that's ok, I only need it for 20-30 mins anyway. More than 30 mins of cycling leads to muscle break down, so I keep it below 30. If you plan to use it beyond 30 mins regularly, you might want to invest on a seat cushion add-on.Equipment footprint is greatly understated especially when your trying to fit it in a small home gym set up.Assembly was pretty straight forward. Did it myself in about 2 hours.Resistance bands are a welcome bonus. The cycling motion is smooth, unstrained. Occasionally the left pedal will have a "sticky" point where it clunks, but sometimes it doesn't. I still have to figure out where it's coming from, although it does not take away from the function of the machine. It's just something I'm suspecting to be a potential problem in the future.I was looking through cardio/warm-up equipment for my home gym, and was deciding among 3 form factors: an elliptical, a stepper or stationary cycle. Most steppers for home set up use pressure valves. Smallest footprint between the 3 form factors. Unfortunately, most steppers have a very shallow step depth. The experience is not even close to stairmaster-type machines you find in the gyms. Most of these home units are the "in-front-of-the-tv" kind, not a set-up that's befitting an actual home gym, at least in my taste. Then there are the ellipticals. Ellipticals will take up the biggest amount of space in a small home gym setup between the 3, no matter how small of an elliptical it is. The bigger the elliptical, the more stable and reliable it is. If I had to choose an elliptical, it should have 3 things: a seat, a tablet/phone holder, and a smooth glide. The best way to find the right elliptical is to test it in store, then find the model online. Unfortunately with this COVID fiasco, store hopping to compare equipment isn't as accessible, so buying blindly online is obviously a higher risk. A few ellipticals online had what I was looking for, sans being able to test. Advantages of an elliptical is simultaneous upper and lower body motion while in an upright position, not just working extremities but also postural muscles. Then there's the stationary cycles: foldable bikes, spinning bikes, recumbent bikes, under-the-desk-cycles. A spinning bike was overkill for my needs, especially the price for well-rated spinning bikes. Recumbent bikes took the most space, just like an elliptical. Under-the-desk cycles, you spend more for what you're getting. Then there's the foldable bikes. Had to find the one that would fit my budget of under $200, and meet the basics of what I'm looking for: a tablet/phone holder, a small footprint, and a smooth ride. The footprint on this bike is great. Even when you open it up to "recumbent mode" the footprint is still small, compared to an actual dedicated recumbent bike, but you still get the recumbent seating profile. And the best part with this Barwing bike is that the seat has a TILT feature that allows you to levelize the seat so it can be horizontal (instead of tilted forward up) while in a recumbent position. MOST of these folding bikes DO NOT have this feature. And it makes all the difference in comfort. Imagine cycling for 20-30 minutes with the front end of the seat tilted and poking up -- sliding and pushing your tailbone back, curling forward the normal curve of your low back, and poking your inner thighs with that seat front protrusion. The backrest for this seat is also a great feature. You won't appreciate the value of a backrest on a stationary bike until you have one. For any bike that claims to be able to go into a recumbent position, a backrest is a MUST HAVE.Then there's the added resistance bands. These bands can now supplement upper body movements while cycling. Pretty much comparable to the purpose of upper body movements you get from an elliptical, but with more degrees of freedom: reach overhead, swing your arms back, to the side, do bicep curls, triceps kickbacks, shoulder flyes, etc.Obviously, you don't get postural muscle involvement in a stationary bike vs an elliptical, but this wasn't a primary consideration because it was just going to be a warm-up/cool-down and/or shredding phase cardio equipment. With this bike, I can use it in recumbent, semi-recumbent or upright, all in a small footprint.About the cycling resistance, I don't know yet. I should have tested the touted "magnetic resistance" but I have only used it on the zero setting for now, only because I use it as a warm up machine before I get into powerlifting/weight lifting. So far, a good product. A few improvements could have been made, but for about $179+ it's definitely a good buy for what you get.Highly recommended.
Ba da bing ba da bang. Best value for your dollar EVER!!I've ridden exercise bikes for 15 years, and while it isn't as sturdy as one in a gym, it's perfect, and has two pulleys to work your arms as you pedal. I put it together in less than two hours, and it went together like a glove. And it looks great as well. Go for it!
It's efficient and works as advertised. This exercise bike is a good value for the price point. I have logged about 100 miles on it so far. Have not used in in the stand up pedaling mode. One caveat, as other reviewers mentioned, is the tensioner only goes up to 16 and I am using it on 13 and 14 already. It may be an adjustment on the tensioner would fix that. Be aware this base model is NOT magnetic resistance but rather the belt and pulley system of old. The magnetic units are around 250 bucks vs this one at 135. It is quiet and smooth operating. So far it is worth the money.
Great bike. Well worth the money , easy to put together. It’s quiet when you ride it . Overall great quality. Convenient for small spaces since it’s foldable . Highly recommend
Great purchase. Very quiet! Easy to use. Only con would be that it is challenging to put together for someone who is elderly. But once together, it is awesome!!
MY BIKE. ENJOY THE COMFORT OF RIDEING MY BIKE MOST RELAXING
Not For Seniors. I am 5Ft. 2". The bike is very well made. Sturdy. My problem was getting on the bike. The description doesn't say you have to lift your leg 16" over the bike center bar to get on it from the floor. I have arthritis and neuropathy, so my good leg struggled to get over it in the lowest open level. I rode the bike, but my dilemma was getting off the bike after the struggle to get on. My husband had to open the bike all the way, holding it from springing back so he could help me off. That was dangerous. I really wanted a fold up bike like this. When my husband went outside, I thought maybe I can maneuver myself to make it work. Well, that was a dumb ideaI. When I unfolded the bike, I pinched my finger a good one in the frame. Luckily, I was able to hold it back enough to get my finger out. My finger was bruised. Still hurts after 3 days, but it's not broken. I sold my recumbent floor Sunny. I wanted to sit more upright. The resistance bands are nice. It states for Seniors. Not for me. Returns are a pain. They want it boxed! It won't fit. Selling it on Facebook. Otherwise, we will have to take it apart, and box it. Ups will pick it up from your home. It is heavy. I guess I will be going back to a unfolding bike. Sunny has an updated one, with resistance bands, and the works for a good workout.
Great bike. Missing parts. I like it. For the price it is solid. We’ll built and gives me many workout options. Now the bad. I a missing ay assembly or operational information. I an also missing one of the adjustable set knobs. The bike is still usable I just can’t adjust the seat up higher . I reached out to company and am waiting for a teply
I'm so impressed with this bike. I was so hesitant to buy a bike in this price range. I thought it would be wobbly and cheap. I was totally wrong, this is so much better than I thought. Unbelievable value for the price! Very sturdy, love all the adjustments, love the weight pulls, this is just a bonus. It is extremely smooth, very quiet. I have sore knees and it's a lot smoother than a more expensive bike I was using. It was easy to assemble. Took about 1.5 hours and actually came with the screws in place so that was very helpful. I had no problem assembling and adjusting the bike. If you are hesitating to buy this bike, don't! You won't regret this purchase. I'm overweight and this bike is fine. The only issue I might possibly have is the seat is a bit hard (a bit uncomfortable). I put a towel underneath and it's fine. I will probably purchase a seat cover.
This exercise bike is a great product as it is very well made and was easy to assemble.
