In⁤ this guide, we will highlight the top 5 best exercise bikes in 2024⁣ to help you make an⁤ informed‍ decision.

Which Exercise Bikes Should You Buy?

When choosing an exercise bike, there are several factors to consider to determine which one is right for you.

First, consider what type of exercise bike you prefer. There are three main types: upright bikes, recumbent bikes, and indoor cycling bikes. Upright bikes resemble traditional bicycles and require the rider to sit upright while pedaling. Recumbent bikes have a more laid-back seating position with a backrest for added comfort. Indoor cycling bikes, also known as spin bikes, are designed to closely mimic the experience of outdoor cycling with adjustable resistance levels.

Next, think about the features you want in an exercise bike. Some bikes come with built-in workout programs, heart rate monitors, and adjustable seat and handlebar positions. Others may have Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to sync your workouts with fitness apps or track your progress over time.

Consider your budget as well. Exercise bikes can range in price from a few hundred dollars to several thousand, depending on the brand, features, and quality. It’s important to find a balance between cost and quality that fits within your budget.

By carefully considering these factors, you can find the exercise bike that best meets your needs and helps you achieve your fitness goals.

Great for us seniors! - I’d buy it again and I’d recommend it to my friends. Schwinn MY17-R270 Stationary Recumbent Exercise Bike1. Note the model “MY17-R270” – be sure to get the 2017 model.2. Mine didn’t ship with a user manual – only assembly instructions. As of this writing, the only manual available and downloaded from the website is for the 2016 model. I got the 2017 manual by calling customer support.3. Some things I’ve found (2017 adds):a. There is a Custom User Program capability, but it’s NOT listed in either manual. (It wasn’t difficult to figure out)b. The 2017 DOES have BlueTooth® capability – allowing at least automatic upload of sessions to the Schwinn Trainer app*.c. Some kind of “VR Experience” capability – there is a page full of warnings for caution when using VR – but there’s no instruction or description of HOW to use VR with the bike.d. I’m thinking there are other “Easter eggs”, but I haven’t found them… and I’ll bet the programming can be updated/upgraded!4. * “Schwinn Trainer” is a smartphone app. “SchwinnConnect.com” is a website.a. Both sync with MyFitnessPal.b. Your session(s) can be downloaded to a USB thumb-stick, and then uploaded to SchwinnConnect.com via PC. If you choose to enable syncing to MyFitnessPal, the exercise is defined as “Stationary bike, general (bicycling, cycling, biking) “.c. Alternately, if you open the app, “Schwinn Trainer”, your session(s) will automatically be uploaded to the app.i. This is a great app. All aspects of the sessions are retained and displayed.ii. If you choose to sync this app with MyFitnessPal (don’t sync both; you’ll get double entries – duh!) – it will define the exercise as, “Stair-treadmill ergometer, general “ – which is incorrect, and when synced with other apps/programs/websites is treated differently than “Stationary bike, general (bicycling, cycling, biking)”iii. Contrary to both the user manual and the description of the app in the PLAY store, this app does NOT upload the sessions to the SchwinnConnect.com site.1. Interestingly, I sent an email to Nautilus (manufacturer of the 270 and the app) questioning both the incorrect definition of the exercise AND the inability to upload the data to SchwinnConnect.com – their response ignored the incorrect definition and confirmed, "The Schwinn Trainer app does not currently sync directly with Schwinn Connect. You can still transfer data using a USB stick though."5. Heart Rate Monitoringa. The 270’s in “Contact Heart Rate (CHR) built-Sensors” pretty good – but you have to maintain contact with both hands and until I’m 5 or 10 minutes into the ride (when my hands warm up) it reads very high (180-190) – however once the contact becomes better it is very close to my FitBit Charge 2’s reading – AND it’s ”Average HR” for the ride seems correct –even though I frequently do not have both hands on the contacts.b. The 270 does connect (wirelessly) with other HR monitors like a chest strap – but take note:“The heart rate chest strap must be an uncoded heart rate strap from Polar Electro or an uncoded POLAR® compatible model. (Coded POLAR® heart rate straps such as POLAR® OwnCode® chest straps will not work with this equipment.)”6. I’ve had it 10 days and have used it every day riding up to 45 minutes in a session.a. The padded seat and perforated seatback are very comfortable, and feels very solid during the workout.b. The 3-speed face fan works.c. The included media cable connects an MP3 source to the built-in stereo speakers.d. It is so quiet while pedaling that you can easily watch TV or watch whatever you play on your smartphone or tablet that you can place in the “Media Tray”.e. The lower display (below the Media Tray) is configurable and can display the current workout values.f. The “Water Bottle Holder” actually has 2 compartments and can hold things like a TV remote or phone in addition to a water bottle.g. The seat adjusts quite a bit (I’m 6’1”, my wife is 5’4”) and would accommodate a wide variety of heights.h. The seat slide scale is pretty much useless – it’s hidden under the seat – it should be moved to behind the seat…i. It was very easy to put together – the main components were already assembled, I had to attach only the stabilizers, handlebars/display, seat and pedals.I’d buy it again and I’d recommend it to my friends.
Smooth Ride. In summary, this is an excellent exercise bike with all the bells and whistles. A great addition to my home gym. After trying Schwinn 270 recumbent bike at my local sporting goods store (Dick's Sporting Goods) and liking it a lot, I was contemplating between the 270 and the 230. Basically there are three main differences: (1) The 270 has 25 levels of resistance versus 20 levels for the 230. (2) The seat has cushion on the 270 while the 230 has a plastic seat with holes for airflow. (3) The 270 could have up to 4 saved profiles and the 230 could have 2. Number of profiles on the 270 might be a good feature for folks who would share the bike with more than 2 people but I was only sharing with my wife so it wasn't a big deal for me. And since the 230 is a new model (2016 vs. 2013), I decided to go with the 230 and I couldn't be happier. Before I talk about pros and cons, I just wanted to talk just a little bit about myself so you get a better perspective. I'm 5'9'', male, 160 lbs, in my 30s, in a relatively good shape but nothing close to a triathlon athlete or body builder. I'm just a casual rider who puts in about 30-45 minutes, 2-3 times a week.Pros:- The bike has a very smooth ride on all resistances. No squick, no thump, just a smooth sound of a well-oil machine probably very close to those heavy duty commercial grade exercise bikes you see at the gym.- Slider seat is so easy to adjust. I know for this price range, this is a requirement especially when two of us are sharing this bike adjusting back and forth.- Sturdy! Of course as I described above I'm not testing this bike to it max limits since I'm just an average guy with average use but so far, nothing is shaking and nothing is loose.- Low impact on your knees and joints but you could probably say the same on all bikes and elliptical machines.- Programs. Many programs to choose from. Some are fun while others I'm never going back to but that's just based on my personal preference.- Two LCD monitors. This allows me to put my iPad on top while I keep track of my workout on the bottom LCD.- Great, knowledgeable and friendly customer service. Registering product and basic troubleshooting were easy.- Assembly wasn't a rocket science. It seems all the parts that you think could be assembled in the factory, they assembled in the factory so good job Schwinn. But that doesn't mean I only spent 3 minutes putting this bike together like putting a hot pocket in a microwave. Think of the assembly process as preparing a delicious food using a slow cooker. It takes time but not difficult if you know what I mean 😉 So I would say 1-2 hours depending on your skills.Cons:- 2 Profiles. Now this is not a con for me since I'm only sharing this bike with my wife but if you have 3 or more people sharing and want to save your workout results and progress, you can't do it with this bike. The 270 allows 4 profiles just as an FYI.- The front panel / LCD dashboard does not look like the one shown on the Amazon page. Please refer to my picture. It is less shiny and you will notice the logo on top is not red in real life. Also the buttons are the same color as the panel but when you look at the picture on Amazon it is darker and shinier. This is definitely not a deal breaker and maybe I'm just being picky but I just wanted to note.- Plastic seat and back. I personally haven't had any discomfort riding on a plastic seat but I could see that this may be slightly uncomfortable if you ride more frequently. Again, this is an exercise bike not a La-Z-Boy recliner so I expect less comfort from this bike. But then again, I could see that this could potentially be an issue.Another note - I also purchased Supermats Heavy Duty P.V.C. Mat for Treadmills/Ski Machine (2.5-Feet x 6-Feet) to go with this bike in case you are wondering. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004IJI7HW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Construcción robusta, fácil de armar.Buena decisión, después de investigar varias marcas en web pages de USA,La uso 4-5 días a la semana, (70+)
I had my doubts about purchasing this bike due to a few reviews that were a bit concerning HOWEVER I didn't have to worry at all. The bike was fairly easy to put together (I'm a 72 year old female), it's quiet, easy to operate and the options work! Haven't tried the blue-tooth yet but have no doubt it will also work as it should. Also, it's very stable and the seat is comfortable and not wobbly at all! My knees and back are a problem for me, which is why I purchased this recumbent bike, in the hopes I will be able to strengthen these two areas. Thanks Amazon for the speedy delivery and a great price!!
Producto de muy buena calidad, cumplió mis expectativas.
Quiet, easy to assemble, not a monster in size and all the functions I need. I am not a cyclist but needed a good fitness program for my out of shape body and I am also 65 and my knees are not good for walking or treadmills. I am so pleased. Its also well made. Thank you Schwinn.
Me encanta. Llego rapido y es de muy buena calidad. Me encabta en verdad. Recomendado

Great Bike. If you are thinking of getting this bike, please do! Dont overthink, it allows you to get the job done! It is beautifully designed, sturdy, very nice materials. It takes about 25 minutes to assemble and it is easy to move around the house. Also, it makes a “hissing” noise, almost like a whisper that does not bother at all! Keep pedaling!I was surprised that it arrived almost two weeks ahead of time and delivered to my nearest USPS . I was worried since I do live in Puerto Rico and kind of thought it would be an issue to deliver but not at all.I love my bike :)Lets work out!
Easy to assemble, fun to use. I live in New England and needed a way to get some exercise when the weather is cold and blustery. I chose the Yosuda Magnetic Plus stationary bike based on its small footprint, quiet ride, and affordable price point. I've had it about 10 days and love it! While Yosuda's assembly video shows the guy giving each bolt a couple of cursory turns, ignore that... turn the bolts/screws as tight as you can. The bike feels sturdy and the ride is smooth. The only issue I've encountered: I find the seat uncomfortable. Not sure if it's the seat itself, or because I'm "big boned." So, I put a Zacro seat (about $30) on this Yosuda bike and it's much more comfortable.Even having replaced the seat, I do love this Yosuda stationary bike and am so glad I ordered it.
Excellent bike. Easy to assemble and very quiet. The seat is a bit too small and so are the pedals, otherwise it’s a great bike.
Easy to assemble, quiet, seems well made. I noticed reviews that said it was hard to assemble. It's not. If you can change your car's oil this will be a breeze. I bought the cheapest one and it is very quiet. I can't speak to the magnetic one, but this is better than fine. If noise is the only reason you might go with a more expensive one, save yourself the money. The quality seems good. I can't say I've tried a lot of them, but nothing feels cheap or like it will come loose. You might consider upgrading the seat to something more comfortable, but that's a common upgrade on most non-stationary bikes. And its a typical seat mount, making it easy to mount any seat. Resistance is adjusted with a knob connected to a pad. Unlike the magnetic versions, the pad will wear down. This could take years of regular use. And I'm sure you can buy new pads, universal if not specific to the model. I could not have asked for more from this bike. It was very good value for the price.
Smooth. Quiet and sturdy. A great buy comparable to cycling bikes on cycle classes in gyms. Very heavy duty...excellent quiet ride. Handlebars do not adjust but it's ok. Easy to assemble
Durable and easy to set up! Highly recommend. IMPORTANT REVIEW UPDATE ALMOST ONE YEAR LATER: I have ridden countless hours on this thing. I mean I lost 60 pounds on it with a lot of running and weight lifting as well. Yesterday I was using the magnetic knob to increase the strength required to turn the wheel, and the left foot pedal finally gave out. The medal rod that connects it to the bike literally snapped in half and I only weigh 165 as a 5 10 male. A little disappointed but not surprised. I beat the living crap out of this bike and easily put over 1500 miles of riding on it if not more. If you’re looking for a light and easy riding bike without intense levels of difficulty when it comes to the pedaling, this will do alright. If you’re hardcore like me, maybe spend a little more. I need a new bike now.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have had this bike for a little over one month. I have ridden it for an hour a day about five days a week (I am an endurance runner and can handle a lot of volume in terms of intense exercise). I was a little skeptical that this bike (upgraded magnetic version) was going to be able to handle my abuse. I have now put over 200 miles on it and it has performed flawlessly. The ONLY problem I have had with this bike is that the little distance and calorie and speed monitor they included was super cheap and I sweat A LOT so my sweat dripped into the screen and broke it at about 140 miles. I use a garmin watch to track my calories and heart rate anyways so it does not matter much to me. I certainly did not buy this bike for the bells and whistles. If you are looking for an affordable stationary bicycle with great durability in a simple package, look no further. I will update I’m a few more months once I reach 500 miles or so in distance on this bike.
Great Bike Except for the Seat. The bike itself is super easy to assemble (pretty heavy though, so I would recommend two people for unboxing and assembly). There is hardly any noise whatsoever. You do not need to crank up the volume on your TV or use headphones with a tablet. Pretty easy to maneuver once it's set up as well. The ONLY reason I am giving this a 3 star review is due to the seat. The seat does not lock into place like most exercise bikes. If you prefer to stand up for a few minutes and pedal, returning to the seat is a challenge, as it often twists and does not stay centered. Other than that, this bike is fantastic, and I would highly recommend it.
Great Product. This product is easy to assemble, takes about an hour to assemble, and is easy to use. I think the quality of the bike is great for the price of the product. It has a tracker for mileage, speed, and distance, a space for a phone, book, or tablet, and there is barely any noise when riding.

The Best Indoor Bike I've Ever Purchased. First of all, I'd like to address the packaging issue in the one-star review. Delivery: My bike arrived in absolutely perfect condition inside and out. I was extremely impressed with how well this bike was packaged and protected. There wasn't one scratch or damaged part/area. My guess is their bike was mishandled in shipping prior to their delivery. Now, on to the review. There is nothing I dislike about this bike. I have owned at least 1/2 dozen stationary bikes and am an avid outdoor biker as well, in spite of my advanced age. I am also an extremely cautious purchaser and did a lot of research on this manufacturer and this specific bike. I found nothing but good reviews on both. Construction: This is an extremely well-constructed bike and without a doubt, the most solid bike I've owned. One of the reason's I purchased this bike was it's slim profile and rider weight capacity. It doesn't disappoint in either area. Because both the seat and handlebars are height adjustable you will get a very slight movement in both. This is not uncommon and in no way detrimental to use and function. The pedals are aluminum and grip well. I removed the foot cages and I don't use them. The seat post is solid and I find the seat reasonably comfortable. I often hate indoor bike seats as they are often too big (and I'm a rather large person). This seat is well padded, comfortable and allows you to pedal without discomfort. The wheels on the front support bar make it very easy to move the bike. This bike is unbelievably quiet. Assembly: Very easy and quick. Took less than 15 minutes to assemble. Assembly tools are included and the few nuts, bolts and screws that are needed are well packaged and identified. The instructions lack any information/directions on the cable coming from the flywheel and going to the monitor. It's somewhat awkward as it stretches on the outside of the bike up to the monitor. We found a simple fix by removing a few screws from the flywheel cover and running the cord through a small space at the top of the cover (see pictures) and reattaching the screws. This keeps the cord away from the flywheel, reduces cord stretch and looks neater. Tension Knob and Display Monitor: I have not encountered any problems with applying and or releasing tension to the flywheel. It functions as it should and is also used as the brake for the flywheel. The display monitor is by no means a high-quality monitor full of bells and whistles. It does, however, provide the information I am most interested in which is speed, miles and basic calories and pulse. I don't need a high degree of accuracy with these so this monitor works for me. Bottom Line: I love this bike and feel that it was a solid investment that gave me a good "bang for my buck." I have owned more expensive bikes and, for my needs, this is my best investment yet. I have only owned it for a few weeks and should anything change, I will update my review. However, based on my use thus far, I don't anticipate any problems with this bike and hope you will consider it in your search.
Great Affordable Exercise Bike. This exercise bike is really nice! Not a single problem. It's very stable! I don't feel like it will tip over (tried rocking the bike while on it and it didn't move). The bike is also quiet while exercising. I believe the seat is very comfortable compared to other stationary bikes I have used. It is also very easy to move around, so if you need to move it in order to exercise everyday, this won't be a problem. The only thing I wished it had was in the display it would tell you what resistance you were at, but this is definitely not a deal breaker. The display tells you the basics (speed, distance, time, heart rate, etc.) which for me is all I need, don't need anything fancy. So if you're looking for an exercise bike at a reasonable price, this is a great bike to purchase! The company is also fast at responding if you have any questions regarding the bike, was really impressed! So don't be afraid to reach out to them.
Great price, good enough quality. Solid construction. Stable. Quiet. Easy enough to put together despite some gaps in the instructions. Adjusts to comfortably fit both me (6'1") and my wife (5'1").No frills, but no buyer's remorse.
Works as expected! Top customer service. I absolutely love this bike! I ordered this as part of my company's wellness reimbursement program that allows it, and it's been a fantastic addition to my fitness routine. At 180 pounds and 5 feet 10 inches tall, I've found this bike to be a perfect fit, and it operates in acceptable noise level that my wfh wife isn't complaining while I do my lunch rides across the room. What impresses me the most is its exceptional stability and the smoothness of the ride. The electronic metrics tracking system that came with it works flawlessly, helping me keep tabs on my progress as I cycle through. Additionally, there's an accompanying app that I haven't had a chance to try yet, but it appears to offer a gamified app to ride the bike.I also want to highlight the outstanding customer service. When I reached out to them with a concern about the seat being uncomfortable for my unexercised behind, they promptly assisted me in resolving the issue by providing a more comfortable seat. The only minor issue I encountered was the excessive Styrofoam packaging used to protect the bike during shipping. While unpacking it, some of the Styrofoam pieces broke apart, but it might have been more due to my handling skills than anything else.In summary, if you're in the market for an exercise bike for magnet, this one is a fantastic choice. It's comfortable, stable, and comes with excellent customer support. Plus, the metrics tracking system and optional app make it an all-around great package.Note: This bike is a "magnetic resistance" vs "friction resistance" which for a pro-rider might feel a different, but magnetic one is easier to maintain which is why I picked this one over the other popular friction bike around this price.
Gracias

Kick rocks Peloton :P. If you are expecting bells and whistles, high-tech piece of equipment that you will be paying for next few months, only to realize you have barely used it, then this bike is not for you :PAll jokes aside, this is a nice exercise bike that gets the job done and it will not break the bank.It comes almost fully assembled, you need to assemble pedals and few other things, but it is not complicated if you follow instructions. It is sturdy and quiet. The seat is not most comfortable, but it is not a deal breaker. I did not like the caged pedals, so I just removed the "cage" and now my duck feet are free and happy :)The tension knob works great, you can easily adjust it and make your work out a piece of cake or crying for your mother. And that is it, for the price bike is excellent, no regrets here 😉
Impressive. I needed a bike so that I could ride indoors for the Winter months. I didn't have a big budget and my husband found this spin bike on Amazon. I had a couple of sleepless nights before it arrived wondering how hard the assembly would be. For the record, I'm 72 years old and didn't feel like spending three days putting this bike together even though I am a DIY oriented person. I shouldn't have worried, it was a snap to assemble. The bike was so well packaged and the parts were so organized inside. The flywheel and belt were already assembled, thankfully. It was suggested to watch the YouTube video before assembling and that was a great idea. I probably had it all together in 30 minutes. What I'm most impressed with is the sturdiness and performance. This is not a lightweight piece of equipment. I've used spin bikes at the gym and this unit performs equally as well. A turn of the knob and you can smoothly change the resistance for a harder or easier workout. The LED screen keeps track of the basics of time, distance, etc. I love the tablet holder as I can stream TV while spinning. As for longevity, that remains to be seen but since I'm the only person using the bike it should last for good long time. This product is a great bargain for anyone looking to boost their fitness for not a lot of money. It's a perfect addition to my home gym.Review Update: Fast forward and it has been 3 1/2 months since I bought this bike. It is a gem. I have lost 25 pounds and feel great. I am closing in on 1000 miles and have increased the resistance considerably. I plan on keeping this up until I can take my road bike out in the Spring. The bike is just as sturdy as the day I put it together and it is so quiet I can watch TV while spinning. What a great way to exercise at home in Central New York where the Winter can be long and unforgiving. I'm so glad that I purchased this.
Fantastic. I love this thing. Very easy to put together. It's compact but stable. The resistance adjuster is smooth and simple. My laptop fits perfectly on the dashboard. This is everything I was hoping it would be. Super fun to just hop on and blast some music whenever I feel like it. Wish I bought it at the beginning of Winter.Fair warning, the seat is a little uncomfortable, but I have yet to find even a non-stationary bike that hasn't needed a new seat. So that gets a pass from me.
Easy to assemble, works smoothly, and great quality for the price. The media could not be loaded.  We just got our Wenoker exercise bike today and are really happy with this purchase! First, the delivery was super fast, it only took 3 days to arrive! My husband set it up and it only took him 35 minutes to build it. All of the tools were included and the instructions were very easy to understand.Once it was built, we tested it out and were glad to know that the bike has easy to use adjustable seat and handlebars. This is important because I am 5'3'' and my husband is 5'11'' so both of us can use the bike. It has durable pedals which have a grip on them and a shoe cage on each pedal so that your feet won't slip off as you are pedaling. The belt on the bike is also very quiet as you pedal. It's super easy to adjust the resistance on the bike as well, just turning to the right or + on the knob for more resistance, and left or - for less resistance. It has an automatic stop by pushing the knob, which is a great safety feature. The screen is powered by pedaling the bike so you don't need to plug it in, and it's also super easy to use - with only 3 buttons on it: Reset, Mode, and Set. The most important mode for me is the Calories, Distance, and Time and you just keep pressing the mode button to get to those different features. Like I said, it is very intuitive and easy to use. There is even a slot for a phone or iPad/tablet like they have on the exercise bikes in the gym. It is easy to move the bike if you lift from the seat and tilt it forward, so the wheels in the front can adjust to where you want to move it.Overall, this was a great purchase for the quality and price and would highly recommend for those who just want a straight forward easy to use home exercise bike!
Better than expected for the price. As a former bicycle mechanic for a boutique shop I'm impressed with the quality of the materials, parts, and welds. Although the price has increased a bit since zI got it, I still think it's a good unit for the price.Caveat: this thing is heavy, unpacking is a bit of a chore, and assembly is not trivial for the inexperienced. That said, the instructions are pretty good, though there was one glitch in them (see photo). Operation is very quiet. The resistance adjusts easily and in a smooth curve.A person over 6 feet tall won't have an optimal seat hight. I'm 5-11 and I have it set to max.I knocked off a star because the electronic computer thing stopped shutting off after several weeks. Have to take out a battery. I don't care about it so it's not worth pursuing a replacement. Still overall I think it's a good quality item for the money.

BARWING, bar none! You get more than for what you pay for. Excellent bang for the buck. Have been using it for at least 2+ weeks now. The base is sturdy and stable. The seat is somewhat wobbly but it's because of its tilt adjustment nature -- any hinges that allows angle adjustment to the seat will tend to wobble. The wobble isn't that bad, just noticeable. I will point out below the relevance of this seat tilt feature, and why the "wobble" is a fair enough trade off for the "seat tilt" feature. The seat is usable enough for a 20-30 minute duration. Then the cushion becomes noticeably uncomfortable. But that's ok, I only need it for 20-30 mins anyway. More than 30 mins of cycling leads to muscle break down, so I keep it below 30. If you plan to use it beyond 30 mins regularly, you might want to invest on a seat cushion add-on.Equipment footprint is greatly understated especially when your trying to fit it in a small home gym set up.Assembly was pretty straight forward. Did it myself in about 2 hours.Resistance bands are a welcome bonus. The cycling motion is smooth, unstrained. Occasionally the left pedal will have a "sticky" point where it clunks, but sometimes it doesn't. I still have to figure out where it's coming from, although it does not take away from the function of the machine. It's just something I'm suspecting to be a potential problem in the future.I was looking through cardio/warm-up equipment for my home gym, and was deciding among 3 form factors: an elliptical, a stepper or stationary cycle. Most steppers for home set up use pressure valves. Smallest footprint between the 3 form factors. Unfortunately, most steppers have a very shallow step depth. The experience is not even close to stairmaster-type machines you find in the gyms. Most of these home units are the "in-front-of-the-tv" kind, not a set-up that's befitting an actual home gym, at least in my taste. Then there are the ellipticals. Ellipticals will take up the biggest amount of space in a small home gym setup between the 3, no matter how small of an elliptical it is. The bigger the elliptical, the more stable and reliable it is. If I had to choose an elliptical, it should have 3 things: a seat, a tablet/phone holder, and a smooth glide. The best way to find the right elliptical is to test it in store, then find the model online. Unfortunately with this COVID fiasco, store hopping to compare equipment isn't as accessible, so buying blindly online is obviously a higher risk. A few ellipticals online had what I was looking for, sans being able to test. Advantages of an elliptical is simultaneous upper and lower body motion while in an upright position, not just working extremities but also postural muscles. Then there's the stationary cycles: foldable bikes, spinning bikes, recumbent bikes, under-the-desk-cycles. A spinning bike was overkill for my needs, especially the price for well-rated spinning bikes. Recumbent bikes took the most space, just like an elliptical. Under-the-desk cycles, you spend more for what you're getting. Then there's the foldable bikes. Had to find the one that would fit my budget of under $200, and meet the basics of what I'm looking for: a tablet/phone holder, a small footprint, and a smooth ride. The footprint on this bike is great. Even when you open it up to "recumbent mode" the footprint is still small, compared to an actual dedicated recumbent bike, but you still get the recumbent seating profile. And the best part with this Barwing bike is that the seat has a TILT feature that allows you to levelize the seat so it can be horizontal (instead of tilted forward up) while in a recumbent position. MOST of these folding bikes DO NOT have this feature. And it makes all the difference in comfort. Imagine cycling for 20-30 minutes with the front end of the seat tilted and poking up -- sliding and pushing your tailbone back, curling forward the normal curve of your low back, and poking your inner thighs with that seat front protrusion. The backrest for this seat is also a great feature. You won't appreciate the value of a backrest on a stationary bike until you have one. For any bike that claims to be able to go into a recumbent position, a backrest is a MUST HAVE.Then there's the added resistance bands. These bands can now supplement upper body movements while cycling. Pretty much comparable to the purpose of upper body movements you get from an elliptical, but with more degrees of freedom: reach overhead, swing your arms back, to the side, do bicep curls, triceps kickbacks, shoulder flyes, etc.Obviously, you don't get postural muscle involvement in a stationary bike vs an elliptical, but this wasn't a primary consideration because it was just going to be a warm-up/cool-down and/or shredding phase cardio equipment. With this bike, I can use it in recumbent, semi-recumbent or upright, all in a small footprint.About the cycling resistance, I don't know yet. I should have tested the touted "magnetic resistance" but I have only used it on the zero setting for now, only because I use it as a warm up machine before I get into powerlifting/weight lifting. So far, a good product. A few improvements could have been made, but for about $179+ it's definitely a good buy for what you get.Highly recommended.
BUY THIS BIKE!!! Don’t even look at another one. First I want to say the customer service is UNMATCHED! The fastest response time I’ve ever experienced and the nicest people! I would literally just buy this bike for the amazing customer service. Now on to my actual review. It took me less than an hour to put together it was all very easy to understand. I love that it already came with batteries because I don’t think I’ve bought a pack of batteries in years. Adjusting the height and seat positions are so easy and quick. This thing is SILENT! Me and my husband both work from home so I was needing something quiet and this bike is PERFECT! After putting it together I took a 30 minute ride and honestly I don’t find the seat uncomfortable. I probably will add extra support padding just because I sit 8 hours a day for my job so my rear end is always sore haha but it didn’t cause any pain for me without an extra cushion. The back support is amazing too! I have a bad lower back, sciatic nerve issues, arthritis, hip problems and it’s a great design. The handles by the seat are great as well. I didn’t use them much while riding but I love them because it gives me support to adjust myself in the seat when needed. I’m 5’10” and when I put it together I raised the seat as high as it could go just knowing I’d need to because I’m so tall but I got on and oh my…I couldn’t even reach the pedals!! If you are tall this is perfect for you. I actually had to drop the seat about 3 or 4 holes to reach the pedals. Love this feature finally someone making things accessible for tall people! Love it!! I didn’t even realize when I bought it that it had a phone holder on the panel. So glad it has that because I can watch some shows while exercising. I may not use the pulse reader much because I already have an Apple Watch but it’s a great added feature for the price!! The added features for arm and leg workouts were a huge reason I purchased this bike in the first place and let me tell you they work!! I already feel sore haha. I’m honestly surprised this bike isn’t $300+ dollars. It’s great for small spaces and it has wheels so moving it around is very easy. It’s heavy but it’s not so heavy you can’t move it. It’s the perfect weight so that it can hold you but still be moved around with ease. I will probably be buying another one to gift to a friend or family member for the holidays. I really would recommend this to anyone! Highly recommend you purchase this bike you absolutely won’t regret it!
Seat is hard of the rear, foot straps are awkard, otherwise good/worth the money. I guess I have big hands and big feet. It was hard for me to get my fingers in to tighten some of the nuts. Comparatively, it was easy to assemble. When you first look at the instructions, they seem more complicated than the actual steps. They put in thoughtful engineering and associated most of the correct bolts with the areas where they go. So, you didn't have to guess what kind of bolt should go where. The foot straps are awkward. I wear boots normally, and the boots won't fit in the foot straps. Wearing my socks, I find it to be a little hard on the arches. What I like it that as an older man with a football player build, it can support me easily and with stability. It seems to be easier on the arthritic knees, while giving the physical exercise. The plastic cover on the fly wheel was not attached correctly and represents a hazard. If kids visit, I will have to use masking tape to affix the plastic shield so that a kid doesn't accidentlly lop off their finger playing around.
Well built, good price, 180. Will assemble with low to mild difficulty if you carefully read and follow the directions. It's really heavy if you are moving it up or down stairs but the front wheels make it easy enough to roll around the room. A 1/2" box end wrench will make it easier to install the seat. All the tools to assemble are included but the seat is a little awkward. After 1 day everything works well and I'm satisfied. Maybe add some padding on top of seat for long sessions. Hope it lasts, seems like it should.
Easy to assemble with video. Very comfortable, no noise. Strong and stable. Very happy with it.

My mother bought this. She's 93 years old and bikes on this twice a day for 30 minutes along with her treadmill. Wish i was this capable. Lol
Well worth the money, just took a while to put together, sturdy to use, adjustable and convenient
